While spotting during your pregnancy is a fairly normal occurrence, heavy bleeding during pregnancy is not. Anytime you experience bleeding during pregnancy, you should always call your doctor immediately, no matter how light it may be. And always listen to your own body. People tend to underestimate a woman’s ability to detect when something is wrong with her body. If you feel that something “just isn’t quite right,” make an appointment with your doctor immediately to discuss your concerns.

Heavy bleeding during pregnancy can be a warning sign of many types of pregnancy complications, from miscarriage to placental complications. Here we will discuss the most common complications that can cause bleeding during pregnancy, and the possible treatments thereof.

If the truth is to be bared, having a baby can be a delightfully dear affair. Much before welcoming the new arrival, money needs to be set aside for doing up the nursery, acquiring a changing table and a crib, selecting baby clothes, and procuring diapers. The moment you set your eyes on your new bundle of joy, every penny expended would be well worth it. Even then, it is perfectly understandable if you wish to be as thrifty as possible. Now, for a few moms-to-be, this indicates going shopping for low-cost maternity garments.

To start with, you should realize that it is quite on the cards to create an amazing pregnancy wardrobe with low-cost garments. Simply because a blouse, jeans wear, a skirt or a dress is low-priced, it does not signify that cannot look stylish. In any case, nobody will scrutinize the price label after you don it.

While the flurry of flashbulbs often beings the minute the baby’s born, the nine months previous to the little one’s birth shouldn’t be overlooked as an important journey on it’s own. While some pregnant mommies may shy away from the camera during this time because they don’t want pictures of their ever growing body, many women look back on this time with fondness and even show their kids what mommy looked like while carrying their little selves.

By the time pregnancy reaches its last stage, the third trimester, both mom and baby are anxious for birth to come. While many couples find this time of the pregnancy the most stable and relaxed, it can also be the most uncomfortable due to the sheer weight of the baby. Mom often has trouble sleeping and is frequently using the restroom because the baby is resting on her bladder.

The last trimester of pregnancy is often most rewarding for mom; the ultrasound photos can be especially exciting because baby is nearly 100% formed; fingers and toes are now visible, facial features are recognizable, and the lungs and brain are nearly done developing. Babies born premature in this final stage of pregnancy have a higher chance of survival, however, doctors will want the baby to stay at the hospital until at least the 38th week, if not the 40th.

If your period is late, your spirits rise, only to be dashed. You go to the loo every five minutes, looking for blood. You go through these cycles of emotion month after month. You begin to ask yourself what’s wrong with you. You feel you have no control over your body or your life. Conception can become an obsession, and you start to feel isolated.

Pregnancy is a special time where a mother-to-be is to rejoice for the welcoming of her baby. In order to get ready and offer the baby the best environment possible, many future parents will go through extended expenses and will invest a lot of time preparing their house to be the best for their baby.

What about the temporary house the baby will live in for nine months before being born? Is the uterus the best and most welcoming and secure environment for the unborn baby?

A couple of decades ago, many doctors delivering babies were shocked to realize that some babies were born deformed, had a general growth retardation, a small brain and a particular face. It did not take long to link this phenomenon to the fact that the mothers consumed alcohol during their pregnancy. The problem was named fetal alcohol syndrome.
