Always have your arguments away from your children. At least be responsible enough to discuss contentious issues outside of your child's hearing. Any marriage has its' share of arguments but make an effort to argue in private and away from the kids. It is hurtful to the child and it also lets them know that there is a weakness in the discipline realm, which may then lead to the child getting away with more! Take care to have your arguments quietly and privately.

Lately it seems like the internet is taking over the world. Children use the internet for everything from playing games to doing research to keeping in touch with their friends. So why is such a widely used medium consistently neglected by the watchful eyes of parents? You monitor what your children watch on TV, what movies they go to see and who they hang out with, so why not monitor their activity on the internet?
Some parents may call this an invasion of privacy, but when your child’s safety could be at stake the idea of privacy no longer exists. Child predators have free reign over the internet because they can assumed the identity of someone your child can trust, usually a child of the same age. It is up to you as a parent to teach your children to look out for their predators and use the internet safely.

It seems that bunk beds are a staple furnishing in any home. They can do wonders in maximizing the floor space of a very small bedroom. The problem is, if you don’t choose the right bunk bed, you may be putting your child’s safety at risk. There have been a lot of reports of accidents resulting from improper set up or manufacturing of bunk beds and it always pays to be very careful in selecting one for your children.
Bunk bed ladders can hurt your child

Parents nowadays are so busy that they find it hard to find time for their child, let alone throw that child a party. Here are some helpful hints for a successful Halloween Party for children.
Haunted House: Do not make it too scary, especially for the younger children. They might not want to come to your house. However, if you do want a haunted house there are several ways in which you can incorporate that into your party. Arrange a time for the kids to arrive at your party and remind them not to come any earlier. When they arrive they will enter through the haunted castle that used to be your home. You may want to warn both kids and parents about this ahead of time so that they are prepared.
Kids still love superman parties after all these years. There is often nothing more fun than pretending to be a superhero flying over the skyscrapers of a tall city, at least when you are a kid. Since most superman parties are for kids you’ll have an easy time finding great decorations and party goods to satisfy their needs for a fun party. Food for this superhero party is also easy to put together.
The menu at your superman party can be super sweet if you want. Mix up a classic superman mixed color cake for a birthday or just another treat to have with your superman ice cream. You can also mix up superman fruit salad with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. Don’t forget to add a dollop or two of whipped cream to each kid’s plate when you serve it up. Also for the adults a bowl of superman Jello is a great addition, especially is some of that whipped cream is also dolloped on top of each adult’s bowl.
If you know me a little, you already know that I am Belgian.
In Belgium, we always celebrated All Saints Day and the Day of Deaths on 1st and 2nd of November instead of Halloween and I cannot say that they are subjects very funny to write about. In Belgium also, the weather is always rainy, so, since I work in a school, children are often inside rather than outside and I always have to find an activity for them so that they are not bored. This week I also had to find some Halloween subjects to write about.
So, I found the solution: instead of writing an article dedicated to Halloween and called “top 10 Halloween Kids Costumes” based on articles and information written by adults, I asked the children what are the Halloween costumes they would like to dress on October 31st.

Elementary school teachers invest a lot of effort into teaching students about the concept of time. Think of all there is to learn about time - seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years. Let’s not forget about the concept of past, present and future, as well as before and after.
Teaching children about the concept of time enables them to be more responsible and independent. For example, with knowledge of time, children grasp what is meant when mom is yelling “be ready in 10 minutes!” It also helps them understand how much time must be set aside daily to tackle homework.
Although mastering the concept of time doesn’t generally develop until the later elementary years, there are ways you can encourage your child to understand time better as follows:
