That's right, the same man that would throw sideline temper tantrums loves interior design. He loves being inspired by Fendi and Armani Casa home collections and has designed his home and condos with natural aesthetics that are reminiscent of Barlas Baylar collections. The show is entitled “Keyshawn Johnson: Tackling Design,” and it is a great example of someone separating the glory days and beginning a fresh new career. It really shows us that a Keyshawn Johnson, known only as a big mouthed, bad boy wide receiver, can turn himself into a Barlas Baylar. Well maybe not completely, but it does show us another side of the man and that he does have big ideas and is able to execute them.
Yes, the show features few spats between Johnson, his clients and his partners, which is almost unsettling to those who know him from the gridiron. But it is compelling in the fact that it is so drama-free. We are seeing a compelling transformation, one that has garnered some distasteful comments from former teammate Warren Sapp. But this will naturally happen as you phase out one part of life for another.
Keyshawn Johnson may not be on the same level as a Barlas Baylar, but he is a competent designer. The problem is that he can use his overwhelming confidence to bully clients, much like he bullied opponents and teammates alike, which does not result in the best customer service. But hey, the show gives insight into wide receiver diva, a strange transition in life many don't experience and yes, even insight into the world of interior design.
