Don't believe the hype. Many of the home based business programs that are being marketed today emphasize how easy it is to make money online. Affiliate marketing is a slam dunk. Promote other people's products, make some sales, get paid a commission. Some programs claim you'll make money within hours of getting the program. Don't believe the hype. Right here and now let's dispel the myth that online businesses run themselves. They don't. You have to work at it.
I learn everyday. I make mistakes. I put in a lot of time and effort. You must do the same. What I have found to be true is that as I've developed a better understanding of how to market online I do see the tremendous earnings potential that exists in E-commerce. The realization of that potential requires work. Never lose sight of the fact that you are running a business. Do you know of any successful business that was not the result of hard work? Online marketing is no different.
Here's another tip: You can read about online marketing methods and programs until the cows come home. But you won't get anywhere until you dive in and try it. For more than three years I read all about different methods and techniques of online marketing, trying to figure it all out. What I figured out is that reading and research is fine but until you dive into the pool and try to swim, you won't get anywhere.
So don't believe the hype. Find a program that gives you good solid tips and techniques and doesn't promise you the world. It is up to you whether you commit the time and effort needed to make your business a success.
